Medical massage is the cornerstone of the Men's Health Initiative and offers a broad range of treatment options. The is no one specific treatment option for a client; it is dependent on the individual needs of the client and all of the assorted treatment options available will be used to help you meet you goal.

Medical massage therapy and clinical bodywork are outcome based therapies; meaning that the application of specific treatments are targeted to the specific problem or diagnosis of the client after a thorough evaluation and assessment by the practitioner or a medical professional. This includes soft tissue pathologies and injuries, post surgical recovery, repetitive motion injuries, pain management, sports injuries and more.

Massage for Oncology

Rob's education includes multi-therapeutic approaches to massage for oncology. reflexology and eastern techniques, such as Shiatsu, are used for clients undergoing treatment for cancer. After general surgery and procedures, and reconstruction surgery a variety of modalities and techniques can be used to alleviate muscle pain and increase range of motion that may have been affected as a result of surgery for any oncology patient.

Practitioner Note: The proper modalities and strokes, adhering to medical advice and being mindful of any cautions and contraindications are all a part of taking the right road to healing. Rob is happy to partner with you and your doctor to create a long term treatment plan if the situation calls for it. In some cases, he may ask for permission to contact your doctor or for a doctors note/release form prior to treatment.
